There was an earthquake off the coast of Taiwan, but it was under water, and anyway, the decadence hadn’t even started yet. Extra points if you can nail a mullah with your quake.
And a voice will call out from beneath the rubble, “it…was…worth…it…”
I am trying hard to pretend there is no link between boob and suck.
I’m not sure it would make a great deal of difference.
It would to Mythbusters’ ratings.
And Girls With Slingshots’.
Apparently the women in my office did not get the memo.
Willis’ Shorpacked and It’s Walky! Gets in on the action Too.
So has anyone done the math? I look at this page* on a daily basis, and it looks like there was actually less activity yesterday than normal.
And I’m just geeky enough to do the math!
*Red circle = earthquake in last 24 hours, orange circle = previous 24 hours, yellow circle = last two weeks, magenta dot = last 5 years. Size of circle correspond to earthquake strength.
Would two pink circles indicate a boobquake?
So, I did the math (it’s not science, unless someone does the math!)
magnitude actual avg(e_count)
2 6 12.92 Within 1 standard deviation
3 20 20.85 Within 1 standard deviation
4 32 27.95 Within 1 standard deviation
5 3 4.32 Within 1 standard deviation
6 1 0.40
7 0 0.04
So, it looks as though there were slightly fewer earthquakes than average on the whole. Does this mean that boobquake was a … er, um, … a bust?
Humph. I was trying to make that graph look nicer, and the system burped. Let’s try this:
magnitude actual avg
2 6 12.92 Within 1 standard deviation
3 20 20.85 Within 1 standard deviation
4 32 27.95 Within 1 standard deviation
5 3 4.32 Within 1 standard deviation
6 1 0.40
7 0 0.04
Well, suppose we actually tally up the amount of energy involved, instead of just looking. We’ll start by assuming a magnitude 2 earthquake releases 100 Energies, magnitude 3 earthquake release 1000 Energies, etc.
Magnitude (Energy) Actual Energy Average Energy
2 (100) 6 600 12.92 1292
3 (1000) 20 20000 20.85 20850
4 (10000) 32 320000 27.95 279500
5 (100000) 3 300000 4.32 432000
6 (1000000) 1 1000000 0.40 400000
7 (10000000) 0 0 0.04 400000
Total 1640600 1533642
So, clearly there was more than average earthquake related energy released yesterday.
Which leads directly to the conclusion that boobies cause quakes.
Now does anyone have any statistics on how many more boobies were visible yesterday so we can calculate determine the rate of causation?
Sadly, my coworkers were lacking in their support of Boobquake
I must be reading all the wrong webcomics… none of mine had anything like these…
