Books on investigative journalism

Recently, I finished reading All the President’s Men. I loved the book, particularly the description of the investigative process of Woodstein. It got me thinking about whether there were similar books about the investigation of Whitewater and Iran-Contra.

Let me stress that I’m not looking for political screeds, because I’m not really political. I’m looking for books on the coverage and journalism of these scandals. Ann Coulter and Al Franken need not apply.

Is there anything out there on this? I’ve found a few things on Amazon and Google, but I wanted to put the question to The Dope and get your reactions.

“Do you understand that the world does not revolve around you and your do whatever it takes, ruin as many people’s lives, so long as you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied along the way, just so long so you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many friends you lose or people you leave dead and bloodied and dying along the way?”

Sorry, I have nothing to add but a Zoolander quote that came to mind when I saw this thread title.
