Just wondering if anyone knows any good books based on psychology. Thanks in return.
Psychology is a pretty broad subject in itself, and psychology plays a role in many other areas of study. Is there any type or area you’re interested in?
If it’s a general, introductory psych book you’re looking for, I recommend checking out used bookstores, especially those near universities. Anything less than five years old should be current enough for someone with a casual interest.
To me the most fascinating psychology books are about abnormal psychology. But don’t make the mistake of trying to diagnose yourself!!!
I am not an expert but How the Mind Works by Steven Pinker was a fascinating layman’s book on modern pshychology. He has also written the Blank Slate which was out recently and which looked interesting.
How To Think Straight About Psychology is a good start before reading anything else.
Thanks a lot guys.
