BOOKS! We read BOOKS!

I just now finished reading The Da Vinci Code after having it strongly recommended to me by several friends. I found it enormously entertaining, a real page-turner, with plenty of intriguing mysteries, riddles, and clever twists. And a heaping helping of hooey about religion, the Church, etc. that I knew better than to take seriously.

Before that I read How To Be Good by Nick Hornby; I’m about halfway through one of John Mortimer’s Rumpole books; and I just started on a book of letters by Robertson Davies (after finishing one by Isaac Asimov).

Just finished Atonement by Ian MacEwan. Excellent read.

Also recently read Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene and Pratchett’s Mort. Both were quite good. I’m glad I didn’t give up on Pratchett after his god-awful The Colour of Magic - he’s actually improved quite a lot.
