I’m trying to think of two words to differentiate between someone who doesn’t enjoy exciting or thrilling activities and someone who isn’t opposed to excitement but gets satisfaction from more sedate activities. You could say both people are boring, but I think there’s a difference between someone who hates excitement and someone who likes it dull. Any suggestions?
I would say that someone who hates excitment is timid, while someone who prefers things to be dull is placid.
