I was going to work, 5:50 AM. Crossing an intersection near the Nashville Airport.
No cars to the left or in front. Two to the right, one stopped & ready to turn right, one just cresting the top of the hill, a long distance off. Safe, so I went straight, to cross the intersection, less than 25 mph.
The second car must have been doing better than 85 mph in a 40 zone.
Down the hill in a blink, he swerved around the car waiting to turn into his left lane, missing the turning cart by a narrow margin, plunged through the intersection without slowing down even a little. swerved back into his right lane, missing my front bumper by less than a foot, raced onwards without a look back.
A pale green Lincoln Continental. No cops or other cars chasing him.
Day-umn! Glad you’re ok Bosda. Did you check the evening news to see if a pale green Lincoln Continental was wrapped around a tree a couple miles past that intersection? It just had to be.
