I sing and play guitar (usually acoustic), have been doing some performing and anticipate doing more. I expect I’ll need to provide a sound system for some gigs. The Bose PAS appears to be a user-friendly, audience-friendly set-up, and I’d be grateful for feedback or insight from anyone familiar with it.

System choices and prices
I’m mainly interested in opinions of how it sounds to the audience and its value for the price. Comparisons to conventional amp/mixer/monitor/speaker(s) systems would be helpful too.
A little more detail: I’m a singer who strums chords, with a few single notes thrown in here and there, but I don’t really do solo picking. I usually use an acoustic guitar with a Lace Acoustic Bronze pickup without volume control ( Lace pickup ), though I also will sometimes use a hollow body electric and perhaps occasionally a semi-hollow body electric.
I have used my Marshall mini-stack, using the high and low impedance inputs for microphone and guitar, respectively (or guitar and microphone respectively, I forget). It works, but I don’t think it could fill a large room, and I have no mixer or monitors. I expect I’ll need more than it provides one of these days.
