Boston Dopers! Drinking The Water?

Typically, Saugus (my town, and that of a few other Dopers) was the last town to lift the ban, about an hour ago.

Yay!

The city was nice enough to call me and tell me.

I’m pretty impressed with the infrastructure of this city. Nicely done.

I just got some bottled water last night.

Now what am I going to do with all those bottles? At least they were cheap.

Excellent job by the MWRA in getting this thing fixed so quickly. Now, they just have to find the coupling at the bottom of the river, so the forensics can be done and the lawsuits filed.

I have? I thought I only missed one. Are you sure I’ve been invited to them all? (Kind of kidding. It’s possible that I haven’t kept up enough.)

Please bring them to me at my work. We still haven’t gotten the OK to use our tap water until the hospital itself finishes flushing everything, which means I am still using bottled water to make my coffee. Thanks.

Aha! So you did know about it.

So, I’m supposed to flush out the pipes by running the water until it’s cold, but the bad water is not safe for hand washing. Do I run it until it looks cold, or just stick my foot under the tap?

You can feel the temperature with the inside of your mouth.

I think you run the tap until the extra arm you grew over the weekend falls off.
