Boticelli, Part II

No, I’m neither Daniele Gatti or David Garforth.

No, and I don’t know who this is.

I’m going to have to leave in about half an hour, and I’ll be out for the rest of the day. If you want, I’ll post the answer (if you haven’t gotten it by then) before I head out.

I will concede this to dnooman, but I would love to know who your person is. This has been a real head-scratcher, and I congratulate you, Enginerd, on a well-played game.

David Gompper

DQ: have you ever written the score for a movie?
If you could put the answer in a spoiler box, I’d love it.

Did you play second base in the major leagues?

This was quite fun! I’d love to be the chooser sometime, but I would suck at it very much.

I genuinely doubt that! Give it a whirl.

No, and I don’t know who this is.

Not the score.

I’ll post the answer is a spoiler box in a few minutes, but I’ll keep playing as long as I’m here.

Some of the direct questions were hard to answer. He’s “written” a lot of books, but most of them are transcriptions of his own music. I said “yes,” mostly because amazon lists him as the author. Likewise, the books written “about” him have been other people’s transcriptions of his work.

He’s been a frequent guest with the Grateful Dead, who were undoubtedly a prominent band, but I don’t think he’s ever really been considered a member. He was a member of Old and in the Way, and they’re a prominent band in bluegrass, but probably not what most people think of when they hear “prominent band.” He’s also sung with various bands, but he’s known primarily for his playing.[/spoiler]

This has been fun! dnooman, give it a shot. I can’t imagine you’ll do any worse than I have.

I have an idea for a person. I’ll post it once Enginerd is done with this game.

All I can say is: Goddamn!!!

Well selected and well played, Enginerd.

I was afraid you might come back with something like “Dmitri Tiomkin: I was kidding about the DG part and him being alive and those pesky details!”

Go for it, dnooman. I’ll be playing for a while.

I played a week long game kind of like this with my brother when we were kids. It was one of the most frustrating things I’d ever done in my life. I never could figure out who he was thinking about, and he wouldn’t tell me. A couple of years ago, he finally admitted that he was answering the questions at random and didn’t have anybody in mind.

That’s pretty much the benchmark in my mind for pure evil.

Wow, never would have found that guy in a million years.
Ok, the initials are BG

Precisely. I have done that myself. It’s like moving the bases. People tend to hate people who play that way, so I quit doing it.
