Some tricky DQs in there. He was Scottish, not English, though in the upper classes as far as I can tell at the time it’s likely English was his native tongue. Oh, and Economics can be considered a science, if you squint very hard… and he did publish a bit of astronomy though it’s not exactly what he’s known for.
