* This refers to Spam, a canned precooked meat brand, and gangrene, the disease it typically causes.

Is that a typo and you meant “before 1990”? Otherwise it conflicts with #10.

Right you are, CFOHG. Sorry about that.

That’s it for DQs. Tawk amongst yourselves, and then please ask all earned “Are you Firstname Lastname?” questions by 4pm EST tomorrow.
Are you Sam Lowry, played by Jonathan Pryce in Terry Gilliam’s Brazil?
(Going with Gilliam being American-born, although I believe he is now a British citizen and renounced his US citizenship about 20 years ago)
Not Sam Beckett, 'cause Quantum Leap was TV.
Not Seymour from LSOH; not Snake Pliskin; not Simon (from Simon).
Thinking…
I stalled on Sallah from the Indiana Jones series.
This is most probably wrong.
DQ: Are you Dr. Sidney “New Jersey” Zweibel from Buckaroo Banzai?

Are you Sam Lowry, played by Jonathan Pryce in Terry Gilliam’s Brazil?
Dingdingding! I am indeed
Sam Lowry
Well done, CFOHG! I saw that movie again recently and it’s still terrific (especially Robert De Niro as, of all things, a commando plumber): Brazil (1985) - Jonathan Pryce as Sam Lowry - IMDb
I did Sallah in a previous Botticelli round, as it happens.
Very nice, Chock!
It’s been too long since I’ve seen Brazil.
Cool. After all these years I still haven’t gotten around to seeing the original cut. I saw the 132 minute US theatrical cut twice in its original run. Decided against watching the Shienberg cut when it was on TV a few years later.
Next up…L

Sam Lowry
Never heard of him.

Brazil
Or it.

Not Luna Lovegood
Can’t remember the dad’s name - DQ
Not Evana Lynch
Correct on all three. His name was Xenophilus, but you obviously knew his ‘L’ name, which is what counts. No DQ.
IQ1: Were you the baddest man in the whole damn’ town?
IQ2-3: Were you a pirate who didn’t do anything?
