  20. Instrumentalist? Uh, he’s a conductor.

And that’s 20! If you have DQ’s ask them now. Sorry, EH, no more questions answered once we hit 20.

I suspected a conductor but can’t guess the name. Unfortunately it’s likely I will know him when he is revealed!

I’ll keep thinking on it in case it comes to me.

I believe I’ve got it, but as I am not currently entitled to any DQs, I’ll let others have the opportunity before making a guess (if indeed that is allowable).

Previous IQs:

Was the character Johnny Favorite in Angel Heart loosely based on you? - Frank Sinatra
Were you a cartoon character who took part in a tontine? - Grampa Simpson
Were you named Chief Justice of the United States in 1864? - Salmon P. Chase

Hmmm.

DQ:

Were you a noted conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra with the same first name as a U.S. President?

I am not George Szell, but good guess!

Thanks. I now see he was born in Hungary, not the UK: George Szell - Wikipedia

Hmmm, are you Leopold Stokowski?

I hope PP won’t mind me saying that I think people are misinterpreting the answer to DQ 15. If I am right with my unrevealed guess, it means the person was born outside the UK but later became a naturalised British citizen, not that he was UK-born but then became a naturalised American (or indeed any other nationality).
