In Rostand’s play, Cyrano de Bergerac is standing guard while Roxanne and Christian are being married. He spots the approach of De Guiche and improvises a wild tale about having fallen from the moon to delay him until the ceremony is complete. The real-life Cyrano, in fact, wrote a story about the Man in the Moon.

He records with EMI Angel records, tours extensively and teaches at Peabody in the US.
