Is it the person you allude to in post #284?
Yes.
Just bumping so we can polish this baby off.
Still stumped. As I wrote before, I yield my five earned DQs, one per customer, to other players.
Use up those 7 DQs!
DQ: Served in the Army?
Updating/consolidating DQs
Still stumped, but…
DQs:
Served in Vietnam War?
Nonfiction book was about military service?
Further updating DQs
Numbers in parenthesis indicate how many DQs each clue answers
I don’t know his name, but I’ll take a stab:
IQ:
Did you write a Vietnam War book later made into a movie with Mel Gibson?
EH-Don’t know that movie, but the book was adapted fo the screen. Use up the DQs.
IQ: Did Tom Cruise play you in the film based on your book?
Our long game is finally over! I am Ron Kovic! Nice job 'nerd!
“Ron Kovic”? Who’s he when he’s up and dressed?
Were you thinking of We Were Soldiers Once … and Young? That’s the one I was thinking of earlier - it was written by Hal Moore.
Ron wrote the book (and co-won an Oscar for the Screenplay for) “Born on the Fourth of July”.
Thanks, etv - that was a good one.
I think we’ll hop back onto the alphabetical train with N. I’ll be back to answer IQs just as soon as I figure out who it’s going to be…
Got someone - new thread for April here.
Yes, that’s the one. Thanks.
Good job, Enginerd.
