I’m sure I’ll smack my head as to this answer, but I don’t know. Ask a DQ.

You’re not Harold LLoyd

DQ: Did you invent something?

IQ: Were you preceded in public office by someone who famously ‘defeated’ the incumbent he was running against?

I guess if nobody has really heard of Humpty Hump, I’ll withdraw the question.

From the Digital Underground. The “Humpty Dance” hit #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was the #1 on the Rap charts, back in 1991. Humpty was the alter ego of group leader Shock G, and managed to maintain the ruse by having his brother lip-synch at some concerts.

That’s fair. Sorry for my over-enthusiasm.

Russell Hitchcock is the lead singer of the Air Supply, and David Hassellhoff gave Spongebob a ride in the SpongeBob movie.

DQ1. Were you born in the 19th century?
DQ2. Are you known for wartime accomplishments?

Did you refuse to fire, which turned out to be your undoing?

Somebody at First Bull Run, maybe? You got me. Ask a DQ.

astorian, no worries. Glad you’re playing. I’d never have guessed the Air Supply guy, but I should’ve remembered The Hoff! I saw that movie with my kids.

IQ: Do you have an SI unit named after you?

Did you cause seizures in Cosmo Kramer?

Whether you mean Starfleet Intelligence or Sports Illustrated, I don’t know. Ask a DQ.

No, I’m not Mary Hart.

Systeme International (there’s an accent I’m missing), essentially “metric Scientific units”. I can’t guarantee that the person I’m thinking of (there are at least three off the top of my head) actually has an SI unit, though, you can take a crack at “Scientific unit” if you like.

If not, DQ: Are you known for holding a government/political office?

Did your work inspire the name of the pop group Thompson Twins?

Did you play on the single that won the Grammy as Best Recording for six consecutive years?
