I’m not sure I know how to play, but did you often use silly styrofoam props on your show?
Tex-I’m treating that as an IQ, and you’ve earned a DQ
IQ - Are you a redheaded former child actor who has had a successful national radio series and numerous legal and romantic entanglements?
Welcome, TexCat! Have a look at the thread from the beginning to see how the game is played. You ask indirect questions (IQs) to try to stump the person in charge of this round (now etv78), and earn direct questions (DQs) which are yes-no questions. We collectively try to figure out who etv is thinking of. Whoever guesses correctly is the winner, and starts the next round.
IQ are you a 19th century English mathematician?
I have four (I think) unused DQs, if anyone can think of a good use for them.
Has anyone asked about the culinary arts?
Welcome, TexCat! We need all the help we can get.
SCAdian, I’ve got 3 or 4 myself. We might try to find out what kind of show he was on/hosted, but there’s a lot of possibilities: religious, nature, scientific, vote-off, just general celebrity [think Scott Baio is 45 and Single, but that’s not it], food, sports, and so on. I’m not sure what to ask.
Prof-Not Danny Bonaduce. Needed to stop to think for that one.
Tex-DQ for the mathematician.
Charles Babbage, grandfather of the computer.
DQ: Are you involved in the culinary arts?
I keep thinking of Alton Brown.
Tex-I am indeed Alton Brown! Very nice!
Oh so you did use silly styrofoam props on your show!
Well done, Texcat! I was miles away from that one.
Way to go TexCat! You could start the next round here in the May thread, if you like, or wait until Saturday and start a June thread. Here are our past letters (scroll to the bottom), if you want to pick a letter that hasn’t been done too recently:
A reminder: Once the new round starts, no use of Google or any other resource UNLESS it’s to make sure that your response to a DQ is a correct one.
Again, congrats, and welcome aboard.
I am E!
And we’re off!
IQs:
- Were you a Soviet-born photographer whose portraits of Marilyn Monroe are still widely seen?
- Did you ride a horse named Buttercup?
- Were you raped by a bull?
Professor, you got me on all 3.
Ernest Bachrach is the photographer; Dale Evans (wife of Roy Rogers) rode Buttercup; and Europa was raped by Zeus in the form of a bull.
DQs:
- Male?
- Alive?
- American?
IQ: Do you hold the single season record for doubles?
