I was also looking in toward the end but not actively participating, and I had a somewhat similar thought. A science fiction-ish novel published in the first half of the twentieth century by a very prominent author… I was trying to remember A names of characters in Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four when I realized he didn’t fit the American Author DQ response.
