Back in the mid '70s I had a housemate who was a big fan. I told him I liked western films, but not books, so he pulled out a handful and read me a few paragraphs. That, IIRC, was about 2100 on a Tuesday. By 2100 the following Tuesday I’d read all thirty of the books he had in the house, he’d bought five more and I’d read them, too, and I’d also found time to read Andre Norton’s newest book.
