Yes!!! I am John Wooden!!
Winner of 10 NCAA championships in the 60s and 70s, including 7 in a row, 4 perfect 30-0 seasons and still the holder of the men’s college basketball record for longest win streak at 88 games. (UConn Women’s BB team has broken the record twice) and namesake of the on-campus gym workout facility.

For me it was the effect of attending UCLA in the 80s. Even though he retired in 1975, the contact high was just starting to wear off, even though the best our teams could do was an NIT championship and a first round Big Dance elimination.
