Boy, that crow was delicious. Now I think I'll have some just deserts

CNN story here.

Basically, this guy scammed his friends and coworkers out of 600K, and then lost it all when he “invested” in the Nigerian bank scam. If it wasn’t for his poor victims in the first place, I’d be laughing with glee. What an idiot.

It sounds like the judge has a sense of humor, setting the bail at the exact amount he scammed out of his friends.

Hmmmm… I wonder if it’s possible that his being conned out of the money is just another con he’s running to keep the money. If this were a Hollywood movie that’s how it’d be playing. Right now his trusted girlfreind and her secret accomplice (his best buddy/one of his victims) are on the verge of getting all the loot off him by pretending she’ll hold it for him while his finances are investigated by a couple of feds, who themselves suspect his double secret reverse con and have plans of their own to get… anyway it’s nice that those poor Nigerians finally got someone, and didn’t waste their time exchanging fruitless emails and holding up embarassing signs.

Speaking of Nigerian scams, anyone else getting deluged with em? I’m getting tons of the Greatest Hits and the New #1 Hit: Your Long-Lost Relative Has Died and the #2: I’m sick and dying!

Could it have been an April Fool’s joke?

I mean … would any of you mortgage your house to loan a friend money?

And plus if bail was set at 600k, that means he only had to pay 60k.

Sounds fishy to me …
