I think today is the day Boyo Jim has his cataract surgery…I hope everything goes well! My mom had the surgery a few years back and breezed through, and her vision is so much better now. I’m sure everything will go well today, and you’ll be back to your full level of Dope use soon!

My grandma isn’t happy with hers. She should have had it when she was in her '70s, but didn’t want to, claiming that gramps “is my eyes” (she’s 93 now and last year realized that gramps may actually die before she does, so she got the surgery).
She complains that the last time she’d seen this clear, there had been a lot less wrinkles in the mirror. It’s the cataracts doctor’s fault, that she’s seeing all these wrinkles!

I was off the boards for a few days, and haven’t done a vanity search until today.
My eyesight was 20/20 as soon as they took off the patch 24 hours after the surgery – well, for the one eye they did! The other is now scheduled for May 21, and I hope for equal results.
It’s now almost 3 weeks after surgery and I have lost just a touch of sharpness. When I went back for a followup Wednesday, I tested at 20/25. I had been warned that my vision would change some in the first few weeks after the surgery. All my physical restrictions have been lifted, so I can lift more than 10 pounds and bend over again.
Really, thanks so much. It is touching to know I have friends that care.
