He is not! It seems he is from the land of the fjords and they opted to not be part of Europe. I don’t know what continent Norway belongs to nowadays, but I am sure POWER_station could help us with that one.
I get the point that POWER_less is making! He’s trying to say that lighthouses should be fitted with engines and propellers so they can move out of the way - out of respect, of course - when an all powerful U.S. aircraft carrier comes along.

Sparculees, I have enjoyed your posts in other threads, especially your responses to POWER_station, but I’m not so sure about this one. It seems that you mean to suggest that any nation not willing to join the political entity that is the European Union has no right to consider itself a part of the cultural entity that is Europe, and furthermore that this makes the nation in question worth a laugh, and possibly even inferior.
However big a tit POWER_station may be (and he is most certainly a BIG one), needlessly talking shit about an entire nation just because they didn’t join your clubhouse isn’t cool.
(Though I have considered the possibility that I am taking your comments too seriously in light of the fact that it is just a pit thread.)

Of course I agree with both of you. I was trying to score a cheap comical point on POWER_station’s home turf, namely absurd obsession with Nationality. This is the Pit, no?
But…in case anyone more took me the wrong way: I do not think that POWER_station’s character here displayed is typical, nor defining of Norway’s population nor any other nation. And I think I have a pretty clear idea about Norway’s geographical location and it’s geopolitical and state financial considerations in not being part of the European Union. As a NATO ally the Norwegian state pretty clearly defines were it stands anyway, I would say.
Actually I have two trickier questions for anyone that cares: Is Greenland in Europe? And is Iceland?
Last but not least I like Norway… Actually thanks to Sondre Norheim who was Norwegian before he became American and disappeared from history in 1870-something; I love Norway. (Sondre invented the Telemark binding and lay the foundation for alpine skiing - and Sparc without skiing is like…wow I don’t know, how do you express absolutely void in a good way?)

I know that I’m reading these posts at a time when most of the admins are having a very well-deserved sleep, but it seems that of late we’ve had more than one poster starting threads which pretty much only relate to their own view of the universe and which are highly inflammatory, and specifically intended to be such.
And the US summer vacation is yet to come…
