I have not been back there today but I saw nothing that indicates he does not have an ignore list. When you have someone on ignore it shows that they posted. It doesn’t disappear for you. It just doesn’t show any content. But it does give you the option to click on and see individual posts if curiosity gets the better of you. No reason to think that no one is on his list. One of the reasons I don’t have an ignore list is because I would probably just click on each post anyway.
Brazil performs an important function. Anytime we are on the same side of an issue I know I have to go back and rethink my position.
He’s discussed the mechanics of his own personal variation before. He may very well be using the current ignore functionality as well (although I doubt it given his posting behaviour), but he actually maintains his own, manual list on his blog.
Totally off-topic but fun to mention anyways… if you surf on your phone and have someone on your ignore list, they do disappear entirely. No temptation to click and see what they really said after all. The only chance you’ll be assaulted with what you don’t wanna, is if another person quotes them. Otherwise, it’s bliss and I highly recommend it.
