The US stopped being a colony before England got into cricket bigtime. Seriously, though. Look at the members of the International Cricket Council; Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe. Basically all colonies.
Still, that’s a good few countries and a good chunk of the world’s population. I don’t see that it’s relevant they are ex-colonies.
