I remember a couple years ago someone was trying to get us to sell some really expensive (for our store) product. He said something along the lines of “It costs $24 and you can retail it for $30, I know that’s not much margin, but you put dollars in the bank, not percentages” to which I replied “You’re right, you put dollars in the bank, but you pay the bills with percentages”…yeah, I understand that’s not quite accurate, but it got my point across. He was trying to quick talk his way into stores by glancing over the cost of the item and reinforcing how much they’d be putting in the register. As you said, how much comes in, isn’t nearly as important as how much stays in at the end of the day.
Now I’m feeling sorry for her. I googled “Anna Gunn weight gain” and it’s a popular topic. The poor woman is probably a size 10, maybe 12, well-proportioned and fit. She looks great. Except for that new haircut. The new haircut is pretty bad. ![]()
