It’s a ‘shitty Muslim countries’ list, not whether religion is responsible for them being hell-holes. Although in cases like Iraq, Iran (pretty much any Middle Eastern country, really) and Pakistan I’d say they most undoubtedly are. And I’d hazard a guess that if you’re female you’re going to be pretty oppressed in pretty much any of those.
As for Turkey - it’s pretty clearly on the road to being a de-facto one-party Islamic State and I wouldn’t holiday there let alone live there. The rule of law and freedom of the press being an important thing. Turkey currently has neither. It has a President who uses force to over-ride both of those whenever he sees fit.
It certainly wouldn’t be on my list of ‘great Muslim countries’.

It’s a PEW Poll list actually - by Muslim population over 90% and in descending order. Which of those countries do you believe does not have a Muslim population of over 90%? They need to be corrected.
There is no question to which the answer begins with ‘God says’ and there is no political or social issue for which the answer is found in any religious book so yeah - I’m pretty contemptuous of all sorts of places where these things hold and justifiably so as far as i’m concerned.
