Breast Reduction

The Lady B is tired of her large breasts. She says they make her shoulder and back sore. She’s tired of bra straps that dig.

She wants to get reduction surgery.

We’re done with having children but, as husband, I’m curious as to the effect of this surgery on the more recreational activities of her breasts.

Will this have an effect on the sexual responsiveness of her breasts and nipples? Will the nipples still become erect? Will the breasts lift back to their younger postion or will they still “hang low and wobble to and fro”?

After carrying several children, her body is already somewhat penalized in sexual reponsiveness. I’m concerned that this may be another strike in that region.

What’s the dope? Any direct experiences?

I looked into breast reduction surgery for myself a few years ago and decided against it because of what I found out. Many times, due to the shape of the breasts, the nipples need to be relocated. This can be done in two different ways–either they’re removed and then replaced higher up on the breast after some of the breast mass has been removed, or they can be relocated without having to sever the nerve endings and milk ducts. In the latter case, a woman may be able to breast feed after the surgery but there are no guarantees of that. In either case, feeling may not return to the nipples at all–ever.

I was informed that my breasts would be “lifted” up and wouldn’t have that oh-so-attractive pendulous thing going on anymore, but that (in the immortal words of the Tick) gravity is a harsh mistress and they could sag again as I got older.

Since I don’t get back or neck aches from my larger breasts, but I do get lots of pleasure from them, I decided I didn’t want to have the surgery. Of course, if your wife is in pain, that’s a whole different thing. A google search on “breast reduction” will certainly tell you lots more on the whole procedure but since it does vary a little from woman to woman, she may want to get a consult. I hope this helps.

There is a new procedure out (about 4 years old) that uses lipsuction instead of nipple relocation. The procedure is done in the office instead of a hospital, and is an in-out procedure. No recovery time, no loss of sensitivity, etc. There are, however, two downsides to this procedure: 1) the breast skin is not taken off, so there is more of a tendency to sag, although reports are (with pictures to prove it) that despite the advanced age of some of the patients, the breast skin did shrink and therefore their breasts did not sag; and 2) this is still a relatively new procedure. It has been done for over 10 years in Europe, but that doesn’t give much consolation to the US consumer.

If I had the dough, I would definitely give this procedure a try. I too am sick of back pain, rashes, etc., and I am done having kids. I would suggest you and/or your wife do some searching on this procedure.

For those large-breasted women who don’t get this surgery, may I suggest wearing a bustier rather than a bra. From what I’ve heard (being a guy, I have no experience in this matter) a bustier will put the breasts’ weight on the hips rather than the shoulders.

From the OP, it looks like Belrix is already using lipsuction and is hoping that a reduction won’t reduce it’s effectiveness.

Sorry, I’m just being a boob. May the liposucked fat breast in peace.

Nipple’s suffer in sensitivity to a varying degree. Some sensitivity can/might be saved, but it is little compared to having no surgery.

For very large breasted women, when you are done, your nipples will have been relocated (ithey will sit on a surgeon’s table while the rest of your breasts are pretty much removed and rebuilt), and you’ll have two anchor shaped scars on and around each breast. Circling the enitire breasts and then heading up to where the nipple was replaced.

The surgery is very invasive. In simple terms, you’ll look like a Raggedy Ann Doll when done.

From what I’ve seen of breast reduction surgeries they can make the breasts lighter and easier to manage, but if a person is snsitive about how they look naked, they has best think twice as reduction surgery, even if done well, generally leaves extensive visible scarring on the surface of the breast.

Extensive visible scarring is an understatement.

Here are some surgeon’s sites.

ROFLMAO!! What a typo!!!

Actually, I HAVE used lipsuction as a means to reduce my breast size (a la breast feeding) and it didn’t work either!
