Anyone have one? Impressions? Does it keep coffee warm if you make a half carafe? I’m thinking about buying one (the 10 cup countertop model) because it’s the only consumer coffeemaker I can find that has a water connection, but I’ve heard people complain coffee doesn’t say warm.
I wouldn’t put having a water inlet very high on the list for choosing a coffee maker. Convenient, sure, but keeping a clean pitcher of exactly the right size handy (as opposed to having to thoroughly wash the carafe before using it to put water in the system) is a lot cheaper and more flexible.
At those prices, you’re far better off with a Technivorm (top rated by almost all reviewers and testers) and that separate pitcher. I use a small Brita pitcher with all the filtering crap discarded; the tall, slim profile fits right behind the coffee maker on the counter.
If you really wanted to, you could plumb in a flexible line and valve with which to fill the reservoir. But again, choosing a coffee maker because of that one feature is really, really limiting.
