Brick City, the Sundance documentary series about Newark, NJ, that features Mayor Cory Booker, is returning for a new season on January 30, 2011.
I really enjoyed the first season last year, and am looking forward to the new episodes…anyone else?
Just watched the first episode today. It’s not the most well-made documentary I’ve ever seen – for example, their editing decisions often seem a little questionable, as when they render what was a longer speech into an incomprehensible mash-up.
But the subject matter is interesting stuff, and the more exposure Cory Booker gets the better.
Looking forward to the rest of this season and more to come.
It’s been over a year since I watched the original episodes (I saw them when they aired), so you may well be right about the production quality, but my overall memory of the series is positive. I remember being impressed with Cory Booker despite myself.
