How about you argue with what I actually said? I am talking about the guy’s racism. I even specifically gave examples. YOU AVOIDED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
He used a racist slur. He defends the racist concept of coonery, of black people who are insufficiently black for his tastes. He argues that white people are all inbred and that leads to autism. He argues that moderators enforcing the civility rules of this board are just being white people oppressing him. He constantly attacks all white people as being evil.
I never once argued against any of the points you have stated. I never argued against liberal or Democratic neglect of people of color. I never argued that these “cell phone” incidents aren’t bad. I never said anything against BLM–I’m a fucking advocate of that movement, for fuck’s sake. And Trump’s racism has constantly been a cry.
I never once defended any of the racism on this board. I’m the guy who actually says that racism should count as “being a jerk” (along with other forms of bigotry). I’ll admit I don’t know who you are talking about who got driven off. I do know several other people who did get driven off, however. If I see it happening, I’m always there to fight back.
And I never once argued against anything in your indented section. I never even brought up the idea of individual racism vs. institutional/systemic racism. You accuse me of dismissing something out of hand that I never even discussed.
I find it incredibly frustrating when people accuse me of things I didn’t say. I find it really hard to believe that you somehow misunderstood me, since nothing I said resembles what you claim. But I will at least give the benefit of the doubt that you ascribed what someone else said to me.
Still, if you want to disagree with me, then I expect you to challenge the points I actually made. If you continue to argue things I didn’t say, then I will assume you’re just pulling one of Bricker’s moves: trying to redirect the conversation to something you are right about, and hope no one notices that you never proved you weren’t wrong about the original topic.
The topic is that he has said these racist (or racially prejudiced) things, and that you shouldn’t downplay that by calling them “jabs” or “missteps.” They are wrong. They override his message, because you can’t engage in racial prejudice while lecturing others about it. If he has a problem with systemic racism, why would he attack Bricker with a racist slur, demonstrating that he is himself racist against Latinos?
He doesn’t fill any hole here. He just makes all the racist people think they were right, that social justice and racism theory really is just about attacking white people. That people who say they are against racism have no problem using it themselves to attack people they don’t like. He confirms the KKK saying that “anti-racist means anti-white.”
