Britain's Got Talent: Janey Cutler, 80-year-old singer (new Susan Boyle?)

The show’s latest “surprising” talent find is Janey Cutler, a bent-over little old lady who looks doddery and seems like a breeze could knock her over. Then she opens her mouth to blast out “No Regrets” (aka “Non, je ne regrette rien”, famously sung by Edith Piaf) like a trumpet call. A bit wobbly, but hell, that ain’t nothin’ to complain about at her age. Audience goes wild and even Simon looks at her with soppy-eyed admiration.

See her performance.

I enjoyed it (and got a bit teary myself) and find it inspiring to be reminded that it’s never too late to sing and express yourself.

Thoughts?
