British Columbian RCMP get into a shootout

Canadian style. No serious injuries reported.

So, your location says you’re Canadian.

Would you say Albertan RCMP get …
Or would you say Alberta RCMP get…

Would you say Newfoundlander RCMP get…
Or would you say Newfoundland RCMP get…

Would you say Ontarian RCMP get…
Or would you say Ontario RCMP get…

It’s British Columbia RCMP get …

And that’s not the only reason your OP is making me stabby.

I hope that all of the shootouts that the RCMP get into are of the same caliber.

 could you explain a bit less elliptically what you see as wrong with the PP?

Being aware that the RCMP is the national police force, I would have said; The RCMP in BC…

PS. I like Canadian style shootouts!

I’d say “the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary get…” and “the Ontario Provincial Police get…” respectively.

I actually had “Mountie” in place of “RCMP” initially, which would have avoided the adjectival disagreement, but I decided to change it and didn’t notice my horribly offensive grammatical error. I don’t disagree with the nitpick, but the…errrr…vehemence of it seems a bit out of scale for a silly picture and a bad pun.

There is nothing one can post on the Internet that cannot provoke outrage from someone.

Myself, I think the pic was a hoot.

I have an acquaintance whose son is an RCMP officer in BC. This officer basically straight up murdered a shoplifter and lied about it in the ensuing investigation, implying the perp was mere feet from him and was reaching for something. The ballistics showed that he was more like 100 feet away and in full stride away from the officer when he was hit.
Despite this (and many other transgressions, some serious enough to make the provincial news), he’s still an RCMP officer.

I was placing bets with myself on whether this “shootout” involved him! Never been so happy to be trolled!

Perhaps they are both RCMP natives from BC?
