I’m just wondering as to why the British investment overseas switched from Latin America Africa Asia etc, which were primarily developing economies, to Europe and the US, and the leftover investment in Asia. What caused the switch? Has anyone got any links or information about this economic activity of the UK from the 19th century up to the present day?
