BroadJump's CFD.exe

I have a PC running XP and access the web via Comcast cable service. There’s a program group called BroadJump installed on my system. Within the BroadJump folder is a self-starting executable called CFD.exe which periodically requests internet access (according to my ZoneAlarm flags).

I think that the BroadJump group has something to do with my internet service (though I’m unsure), but have no clue what CFD.exe wants to do on the internet. Does anyone know?

'Cause if it’s accessing kiddie porn or the re-elect Dubya web page, I’m cutting it off;)

A discussion about it here. Seems some consider it spyware, but in any case it can be removed without consequence.

From here:

“CFD.exe - BroadJump Client Foundation. Broadband troubleshooting software installed by various companies. Not required and you can remove it via Add/Remove programs”

Not necessarily spyware, but not really required either. You may safely remove it as it is not critical to the Internet connection itself.
