Broken Link to Straightdope.com in mobile view

I use Straight Dope Light as a theme. When I’m on my phone (Safari browser on iOS 16.5.1 (c)) the button at the top of the screen to go to the main Straight Dope site is broken.

It is the icon that looks like a house. If I click it, it tries to go to https://straightdope.com which is an invalid page. I use the same theme on my PC, which is of course in desktop view, and while there is no “house” icon, there is a link at the top for “The Straight Dope” which takes you to the correct https://www.straightdope.com address. The address needs the www prefix or it doesn’t function.

I checked all of the other mobile themes. None of them have the “house” icon at the top of the interface, except for Straight Dope Dark (which is identical to Straight Dope Light, except, uh, dark). So this is only an issue with the two “Straight Dope” themes on mobile.

It’s just a simple fix, it seems like, though I know as someone who occasionally works on web sites professionally that “simple” doesn’t always mean “easy”.

I have the same problem with Chrome, iPhone, Straight Dope Light.

It’s been like that for weeks, maybe longer, just didn’t bother to say anything.

Same for me: Safari on an iPhone. Link doesn’t work.

Works on my chromebook.

Have you tried linking directly to https://boards.straightdope.com/, which is a direct link to the message center itself?

The button/link in question is supposed to take you to the main page of this site (The Straight Dope). There’s already another one that takes you to the main page of the forums. Not sure how your suggestion is meant to help.
