The link from Cecil’s column that says ‘comment on this column’ takes you to a page on the board that says you didn’t specify a forum.

If you delete the semicolon before “forumid=1”, the link would take you to the “Comments on Cecil’s Columns” Forum.

Conservation of semicolons, perhaps? Because the gremlins have certainly stolen enough semicolons from my c programs, over the years.
