Browser plugin for text files

Is there are browser plugin I can use for text files on the web? Or, do I need to always download the text file before I can read it?

No plugin is necessary for text files. Just make sure your browser is configured to read online text files as text files. In most cases this is a default setting for the browser.

I get that grey box popup “File Download”, “Open, Save, Cancel, More Info”.

OK, I can push the “Open” button and it does attempt to open the file. So it’s just a security thing with my browser. OK, got it, thanks.
