Brutal (French?) Cabaret dance ring a bell?

In the misty recesses of my memory, I seem to recall a (now highly politically incorrect) cabaret dance where the male throws the female across the stage to the tune of a concertina. I distinctly remember the male in a beret and horizontal striped shirt and the female in a short skirt.
Does this style sound familiar to anyone? I could swear I remember a parody of it with Sid Ceasar and Imogene Coca on “Your Show of Shows”.
