Buffalo can’t become a Lion

It’s "You’re willing to complain about human rights abuses in Burma, but not in Kashmir, when, at least the Burmese are being oppressed by their own people, not by foreigners like the Kashmiri are. In other words, what’s happening in Kashmir is worse than what’s happening in Burma, so why criticize the Burmese government and turn a blind eye to the Indian government.

Yeah, yeah. Three thousand years before that my ancestors were pharaohs in Egypt and kings in Scythia. What’s your point? What’s so bad about being a buffalo, anyhow? Mess with the bull, get the horns.

Here’s a whacky idea:

How about if debate on this issue takes place in the Obama backs India for permanent seat on UN Security Council Thread???

I find this argument compelling.

Poor kitty. :frowning:

I dread to think what would have happened to 3 million Hindus in Pakistan if the Pakistani government announced it had compelling evidence that the Indian Intelligence Services had been complicit in terrorist attacks causing 173 deaths in a Pakistani city.

Go dem der Bills der, dontcha’ know der!

A buffalo can most certainly become a lion, if it is the will of Allah.
Why do you doubt Allah, Abisafyan?

Bangladesh, too?

I find your lack of froth disturbing.

There’s a joke in here somewhere.

Allah Almighty adjudges on merit, dear!
Above all, status of everything has been settled, so no chance for ‘buffalo’ to thirst her soul for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council, she has ‘polluted’!!!

I think I speak for everyone here when I say, “what?”

I haven’t really considered it. Were the Bangladeshi government to be sponsoring terrorist attacks against India, however, I would not consider it wrong of the Indians to take military action.

Abisafyan is Pakistani. He hates India. Therefore, India is “polluted” and should never get a permanent Security Council position. This has been a public-service episode of “Condensed Nationalistic Crazy-Talk Threads”.

dear, you are not so easy!!!

Anyhow, you can infer a lot from the metaphor in terms of vibrating geography, colossal eating capacity & category (viz herbivorous), polluting power and breakdown towards the lion!!!

Bear in mind that Bangladesh owes India a significant debt of gratitude for liberating it from Pakistan. Then-East Pakistan often had even less of a voice in their own government prior to 1971 than Jammu and Kashmir has in India (where it is represented in the Congress like any other state).

Bangladesh arguably has closer ties to India than to any other country. It’s rather unlikely that the Bangladeshi government would do that, in other words.

ETA: vibrating geography? Is that like an earthquake?

Who are you to speak for Allah, Abisafyan, and presume what his judgment ought to be?

I wasn’t suggesting Bangladesh was. I was merely pointing out why I don’t think Pakistan should be listened to in the slightest over anything to do with India. Hell or anything else for that matter.

Probably fair to say India shouldn’t be listened to about Pakistan, either, though.
