These are the most beautiful, most alien images of insects I’ve ever seen. Plenty of preying mantises and caterpillars and other… things. There are two good pictures of tree frogs as well.

There are two small ads at the very top and the very bottom that might not be safe for work in some uptight places. Other than that, it’s perfectly clean. All in Cyrillic*, but clean.

*(Russian is a language. Cyrillic is a writing system used by lots of languages, Russian being only one.)

If you get creeped out by bugs, this is not the site for you. Do not click any of the links below. Your spine will twitch its way out of your jellied body and crawl off to find some likely-looking snakes.

This is probably my favorite. If aliens did glamor shots… This comes a close second. It looks like some alien emperor in all his finery. And what the hell is this thing?

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. I loves me some bugs.

However, the pentagram with random phrases in the background of the one mantis picture had me very confused until I looked up some of the phrases on google. Now I’m even more confused.

It appears to be some sort of anime comic that deals with vampires and such, but I wonder what the motivation was for putting it there. Because the mantis has horns and is creepy, I guess? :confused:

Cool pics, some of those are pretty freaky-lookin’ when you get right up nose-to-proboscis with them.

Since we’re sharing, here are some pics of a Glasswing Butterfly, though not quite so close-up.
