Building a sept from gingerbread for a holday display

In my city there is an annual holiday event downtown. The main feature is a display of gingerbread creations. I’ve entered many times back when I was working, but since retirement I haven’t.

Now I want to get back in. I’m going to do a sept from the religion of the Seven, in Game of Thrones. I’ve done a number of churches, and once I won first place for a Gothic cathedral. I’m going to title it “Winter is Coming” I’m not going to try and imitate the sept of Baelor, but it will be seven sided with windows cut as a seven pointed star. I found the cutter online.

Anyone have any ideas for decorating? Windows I’ve seen in the show were clear glass, but would it be wrong to make them colored? At the seven corners I’m thinking of simple engravings that represent the Seven Gods.

I have made three gingerbread creations(two churches and a train station) that were models of real buildings but I prefer doing my own designs because then people can’t say things like how my proportions or measurements weren’t exact.
