My daughter is now officially too big for her Take2 playset, and now it’s time to make a new one for her.
I’m looking to do something involving a slide, a little clubhouse, a swing or two, and maybe a little rock climbing wall. The problem is, I want to build it, so I’m really only looking for plans.
It seems like the two options are a $1500-$2000 kit, or a website that will have like 3 plans for $10 each.
Yes, I can design one for myself, but I’d much rather work off of a set of plans - it should be a good $10 investment.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good plans out there? Ideally, I’d like a site with a large selection to choose from.

Have you checked Home Depot or Lowes? I’ve seen free plans there for workbenches, built using the materials they sell. They might have something similar for play structures.
Home Depot used to sell plans and hardware (brackets, swings, chains, .etc) you just needed to buy the wood to go along with it. I haven’t checked lately to see if they still sell that but I bet somebody sells it online.
Don’t discount the kits too quickly. We priced one out recently and the kits with would were very competitive simply because they use the best sized board for the job whereas you have to use sizes and grades of wood that are available near you. For beams and posts you win, but for making a fence or solid surface (floor/wall/roof) for a clubhouse or elevated platform and you lose badly compared to a kit.
