So it’s 2 k’s, then 1 k?
That Flash cartoon has it wrong?

I feel like a naive schoolgirl.
So…About that removed link.
For a brief time I thought “bukkake” might be Engrish for “beaker,” because in the first ones I saw, the young honoree made use of one at the conclusion of the ceremony.
It also occurred to me that any aliens who might be monitoring the transmission would probably end up with a very confused and misleading impression of Earthling reproductive practices.
No kidding- I made up the word “boykkake” when I wrote the post !! Though it does have a nice ring to it…
Barbara Ehrenreich used to think so too.
The old “ritual for humiliating cheating women” story has quite a foothold for being a total load of crap. A more plausible theory is that Japanese AV companies of the 70s and 80s thought it up as a way to show hardcore sex without penetration, whose appeal was curtailed by that country’s mandatory censorship of genitalia in porn.
OK, does anyone have an explanation for that? I mean they can show a woman drowning in semen but they have to blur the dicks? This is the same country that brought us tentacle porn. Seriously, WTF?
A car in my garage at work had “Bukkake” for the liscence plate. It still may, but the car has been gone for a few years. I took a pic, but FLA plates use reflective paint that really ruins the image. I’ll dig it up and post it when I get home.
And why did it bring us tentacle porn?
That’s right, because showing penises was taboo.
Why hentai?
Yup–gets around the prohibition against showing genitalia.
It doesn’t make sense from our cultural viewpoint, but I’m sure many aspects of our culture–like the fact that smoker characters can bump a movie’s rating up to PG-13–don’t make sense to them either. 20 years ago, it probably would’ve been considered absurd from the Japanese viewpoint that American porn allows for genitals but prohibits teenage participation.
Not according to the first link on Google!
How wrong is it that the mental images of Thompson’s description of that “ritual” rocked me to sleep many a night when I was a teen? I’m not asking in a sensitive, “Oh, that was so wrong” way, but more in a “Booyah, that was WRONG!” way.
You realize what that means, from a mating standpoint, don’t you?
Harems.
I’m SO going to work that in cross stitch and hang it on my wall!
