It is known and accepted, throughout the bullfight community, that yellow is an unlucky color that is never to brought into a bullfight plaza during a bullfight. So, if this is the case, then why are the two bullfighting capes (Capote and Muleta) made with yellow cloth on their insides? :smack:
You know, I really like bullfights, but never in my life have I heard that yellow is unlucky. Where did you hear this?
The only bad luck thing I know of concerns the matador’s hat landing upside down if he chooses to toss it.
Perhaps a matador will be unlucky if he himself is yellow (shicken)?

OK, here’s a cite for yellow as bad luck. Sounds like it applies only to clothing though.
