Mom arrested in principal assault
CENTRAL: Woman upset meeting didn’t spend more time on bullying policy.

Anchorage police on Wednesday arrested a woman who slammed into an assistant principal at Central Middle School’s open house Tuesday night, apparently because she was upset about the school’s antibullying policies.

Deborah Meister, 46, is charged with misdemeanor assault. Ron McGee, a police spokesman, said she contacted police Wednesday afternoon and surrendered herself after learning a warrant had been issued. She was arrested without incident and taken to the Anchorage Correctional Complex, where her bail was set at $1,000.
