Damn!
Looking at a recent pit thread it seems Bush in this diplomatic mission told the Vietnamese that the lesson the Vietnam war gave to America was to never quit, that the US should occupy Iraq until victory is achieved, unlike the US cutting and running in Vietnam.
Of course many with an ounce of brain should notice that Bush implied there that we should have remained in Vietnam and that the current hosts should be dead.
Credit goes to the Vietnamese for virtually ignoring this sorry messenger and concentrate just on the business he brings.
I guess Poppy couldn’t get him out of this one.
