Bush Republican Brad Schlozman(Justice Department)--Burn in Hell

Today’s story from the NY Times(sure, sure, pinko liberal source)

Mr. Bradley Schlozman was a lawyer from Kansas. Still is.

This guy was the controversial acting head of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department for three years under Bush. He’s just lucky he’s not disbarred.

His lawyer said, among other outlandish statements,

Let’s look at some snippets from his emails and voice mails to his fellow colleagues and others–

.

Sure, they were taken out of context.

This guy was scum and should be unemployed.

In a week, won’t he be? Unemployed, that is.

Nah, he’s already back in Kansas, with a law firm.

What I want to know is, why the hell will he escape being prosecuted for the violations of law he committed?

Well, OK, so its not Leavenworth, its still Kansas! You gotta look on the bright side.

Haven’t you learned by now that personal and political loyalty are the best indicators of a person’s fitness for whatever job you might give them? I mean, if we can’t trust one of Our Boys, who can we trust?

We’ll probably be seeing that term “Bush Republican” a lot in the next few years, as the GOP tries to distance itself from its latest leadership debacle. People will be saying things like: “Ohh, that was the Bush Republicans that did that, not us. We’re living in a brand new era of enlightened conservatism.”

Let’s not forget that Gallup’s final poll on Bush’s presidency shows 75% of Republicans approving of the job he’s done:

With so little daylight between “Bush Republicans” and Republicans in general here at the end of Bush’s term, any professions of repentance by the party are likely to be little more than lies designed to garner the votes of suckers.

Two words: Mukasey Doctrine.

He should be a part of a three-prisoner trade involving a week off kitchen duty and a case of Kools. I wonder, if the Republicans cry too loudly about one Marc Rich pardon from Eric Holder, whether Bradleeeey Schloooozzzzzman will bear the brunt of his fellow R.T.A.s intransigence.

evil laugh

I truly hope so.

This is McCain and Palin’s “Real Americans” rhetoric in action.

Bushies, like Communists, demand party loyalty for government jobs.

The only reason he hasn’t disbarred in Kansas is that nobody has filed a complaint yet. I can’t imagine that will last long.

Because the Bush administration was corrupt top to bottom and no one wants to start a civil war by going after everyone.

Yeah well, they will turn that on Obama when he starts the purges.

My outrage receptors are burnt, totally zorched. I can hardly feel anything, even though I know the circumstances are appalling. I find myself more interested in trivia like the recurring question of conservative humor, what they apparently think is funny. Like that guy who made the crack about wanting his coffee to be “black and bitter”, like a well-known civil rights activist (who’s name you would recognize in a second if I could remember it…).

This was so funny it was shared around by e-mail, a little electronic pellet of droll joy. Mallard Fillmore.. Dennis Miller. Closest they got is P.J. O’Rourke, who delivers his punch lines like a constipated man straining to deliver a turd. And can’t shut up about how he used to be a hippy, and smoked dope, but now he’s a rich alcoholic, and is so much better off…

Which I wouldn’t even think about, if my outrage receptors weren’t tostado.

I gotta admit, the “burn in hell” thing annoys me. Since I’m an atheist and I don’t believe in all that stuff, it’s incumbent upon us (society) to mete out all the punishment he’s gonna get.

I"m also an atheist, but, in defference to you, I’ll amend my wish–

“I hope you get disbarred for your (IMHO) illegal activities. If there is a heaven and a hell, I hope you do time in the latter. Best wishes, Sam.”

I think having to live in Kansas is punishment enough.

And Wichita, at that. Shudder

As someone who was born and raised in Kansas (in Leavenworth, as a matter of fact, though not in one of the many prisons*, there’s actually a small city there too), I concur. Very much. Kansas sucks. Except for the Flint Hills. They’re surreal and beautiful.

As a former Kansan, I apologize for this dipshit. And the wacko school boards.

  • There’s the Federal “Yer goin’ to Leavenworth, Lefty” Penitentiary, a big scary building that looks a State Capitol (famous because, besides being mentioned in thousands of film noirs, that’s where the Birdman of Alcatraz did his bird thing, but “Birdman of Leavenworth” didn’t sound as sexy). There’s the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth (the U.S military’s only maximum-security prison). There’s the Kansas State Penitentiary for Men (famous because that’s where the In Cold Blood Clutter Family killers met and were executed). There’s the Kansas State Penitentiary for Women (not famous at all, but fun because there’s a two-lane highway built right through the middle of the damned thing. Speeding through in fear is a problem). There’s the U.S. Marshals Service’s Detention Center (a privatized prison, “It is the only exclusively maximum-security institution run by a private company”). Not to mention the city and county jails. The whole economy of the county would collapse if the crime rate were to drop dramatically. This post is giving me déjà vu. No doubt I’ve posted this stuff before but I’m too lazy to look. Don’tcha hate it when people post a bunch of extra stuff in small type? Wow, déjà vu again. I got those accents by copying and pasting from Wikipedia. If they’re wrong, blame Wikipedia.
