Anyone use one? Worth it? Any recommendations?

We used to have CardScan and honestly, it wasn’t worth the effort. The software crapped out on us half the time, and the time it takes to get all the fields to match up is a pain. It was more efficient to just type it all in by hand. The version we had was pretty old, so I don’t know if the newer releases are any better, but it would be a better investment to find someone who can type relatively fast instead.
Can’t you just use a plate scanner and if you want to be able to index the cards, use a program to convert the image to a text file?
