Buying a new cell phone...

So I’m looking to invest a some money into a cell phone to enable myself to “have a life” besides just living for my job.

I’m very close to purchasing the iPhone because I’ll be getting it for a good deal and it’s a pretty sweet ass little device. It has alot of good, but also lacks some important qualities as far as data transfer and call quality…

Feature I need:
-Phone
-Internet/Email that is fast and reliable
-PDF reader
-Excel editor, though, I can use Google Docs for this on the net.
-Possibly a full keyboard, though it’s not a necessity.

Everything else is a bonus.

If you’re like me, and love everything that’s “brand new to the market”, what would you suggest? I’m looking for the newest technology or soon to come technology (within a few weeks AT MOST) Do you think I should make this purchase of the iPhone or is there something on the horizon that will out-do the iPhone that’s in it’s price range…?

I have an iPhone and while it is awesome it might disappoint in some ways…

But yes…

Best internet on a phone.
Email is awesome too
PDF support is native (read them inside mail)

Excel…Might be hard. I’ve never tried Google Docs on my iPhone.

But I love the iPhone email. It’s super easy to read and supports IMAP too.

What is your battery life like? Would it support a solid “5 hours” of internet abuse on one charge? If not, I will have a charger handy.

hmm, i dunno.
It might do 5 hours internet abuse. I would guess more like 3?
