I did a search and didn’t find the subject so hopefully I’m not repeating a recent discussion… Anyway, the color is going on our current model (about 7 years old now) and we need a new one. We’re looking for a 27" stereo tv, nothing too fancy, looking to stay under or just around $300. In a very brief peak at Best Buy I saw some of interest, but am not up-to-date on some of the newer features (dark picture tube, comb filters) and recent brand recommendations. I found out what the newer features are, but wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them and if they do, in fact, what they say; also any experiences with different brands/different retailers. While I’m tempted to pop on over to Wal-Mart, I’m never comfortable with making electronics purchases there. Thanks (We were cracking up over the designation of a 27" tv as a “bedroom model”. I guess we’re way behind the times, we have a 13" in our room. TV, I mean. )
We have a 21" Sony triniton Wega or whatever they are called-- the flat screen ones, and we luuuuuv it. It was a floor model and we paid 250 or so–so not exactly what you are looking for but I recommend the type.
You can’t go wrong with a Sony.
